Hidalgo Trail Rides at Historic Lolo Hot Springs

Explore the beautiful Bitterroot Mountains above Lolo Hot Springs on horseback. We have a variety of rides available at Lolo Hot Springs from late spring until early fall, roughly from May through September, weather permitting.

Join us on a guided tour of the historic Lewis and Clark Trail with Lady, Tucker, Gracie, and the other horses.

Head for the top of the mountain with Hidalgo Trail Rides, or enjoy a steak dinner with all the fixins over the campfire. Dine in the remote forests of Montana with our Cowboy Steak Dinner.

Learn to ride. We offer lessons for children too.

Winter rides are available, but down in the Bitterroot Valley and only by appointment. Escape and enjoy Montana, even when others won't. Call Robert at (406) 777-7399.

Rides and Prices

Riding Lessons

• 1 day – $120 each
• 4 days – $375 each

Adult and Child Rides

• 1/2 hour – $70 each
• 1 hour – $80 each
• 2 hours – $140 each

Top of the Mountain

• 4-hour ride – $230 each
• Lunch included

Cowboy Steak Dinner

• Approx. 2-hour ride – $180 each
• Ride into the back country with dinner waiting
• Reservation only, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

All Day Pack Trip

• 8-hour ride – $285 each
• Lunch and dinner included

*Two riders per trip minimum.

*Children 7-18 must wear helmets.

*Rider weight limit is 230 lbs.
